Sokol appointed EP’s Regional Development committee’s rapporteur for 2023 budget

Croatian MEP Tomislav Sokol (HDZ) has been appointed rapporteur for the opinion of the European Parliament's Committee on Regional Development (REGI) on general guidelines for the preparation of the 2023 budget, section III, the MEP's office said in a press release on Wednesday.

As part of his new function, Sokol will be responsible for shaping the position of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development (REGI) on the functioning of the Union’s regional development and cohesion policy, assessing the impact of the Union’s other policies on economic and social cohesion and coordinating the Union’s structural instruments in the 2023 budget.

Zovko EPP’s rapporteur for Culture and Education Committee’s opinion on RRF implementation

Croatian MEP Zeljana Zovko has been appointed rapporteur of the Group of the European People’s Party for the opinion of the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education on the report on the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), the MEP’s office said in a press release on Wednesday.

The opinion of the Committee on Culture and Education (CULT) on the implementation report on the RRF will focus on presenting the current use of the RRF for education, culture and the creative industry and underscoring the importance of further investments by member states in these sectors, the press release said.

Within the Committee on Culture and Education, Zovko is currently also working on a report on the New European Bauhaus and on a report on the implementation of inclusion measures within Erasmus+, said the office of the HDZ MEP.
