Mandatory pension funds end 2020 with 2.06m members

At the end of 2020, mandatory pension funds in Croatia had 2.06 million members, which is nearly 47,000 more on the year, according to the latest data released by the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA).

Just in December, the number of members of mandatory pensions funds increased by 5,135 or 0.25%.

The AZ fund has the largest number of members (689,485), followed by Raiffeisen with 603,191 members, PBZ/Croatia Osiguranje with 403,320 members and Erste Plavi with 361,395 members.

The largest number of members of the second pillar of pension insurance, 1.92 million of them, chose to invest in category B funds, which is a moderate risk category.

There are 83,448 members in category A funds, with the highest investment risk, and 48,615 in category C funds, with the lowest investment risk.

The total net assets of mandatory pension funds in Croatia at the end of 2020 amounted to HRK 119.07 billion, which is HRK 6.5 billion more than at the end of 2019.
