The Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) said on Friday that, according to data from the national database on side effects, three COVID-19 patients vaccinated with two doses had died.

HALMED said they were older persons with comorbidities and that two reports did not state the cause of death, while one stated complications due to COVID.

A doctor at Zagreb’s Dubrava Hospital said on Thursday that eight of their patients vaccinated with both doses against COVID had died.

Croatian Institute of Public Health (HZJZ) director Krunoslav Capak said today that the HZJZ had not been notified. He added that until now the HZJZ had not recorded any death of a person vaccinated against COVID with one or two doses, and that Dubrava had yet to establish the primary cause of those eight deaths.

HALMED said it had received 152 reports of failed COVID vaccinations.
