The government on Thursday rejected all the claims in the motion for a no-confidence vote in Health Minister Vili Beros, which was submitted with the support of 41 opposition lawmakers.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic briefly said that the government rejects the claims in the motion launched by the main opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) together with other opposition parties.

The parties launched the motion because of the “accumulated problems in healthcare and scandals relating to the minister.”

The motion cited the accumulated debt in the healthcare sector, which resulted in medicines not being delivered during the height of the pandemic, as well problems that have emerged with vaccination and indications that the designers of the cijepise.hr vaccination registration site were accorded favourable treatment.
