Croatia's tourist board HTZ on Thursday began broadcasting virtual presentations and workshops promoting Croatia's tourism industry. The online campaign, dubbed "Virtual Get2Gether" targets the country's main source markets.

The first in a series of presentations will be held today for the Polish market in cooperation with the tourist boards of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, the town of Korcula and the southern municipality of Zupa Dubrovacka, HTZ said.

The current market circumstances and coronavirus restrictions imposed globally have significantly affected tourism promotion channels, HTZ said, and led them to launch a campaign featuring “a series of 30 virtual presentations and workshops, which will be held in 16 key source markets.”

Activities will be carried out through an online platform.

“In addition to the primary goal, which includes the promotion of Croatian tourism… we want these to serve as a gathering place in each market for our key foreign partners and travel agents, to convey the current health and safety situation in Croatia and how prepared we are for the upcoming tourist season,” HTZ Director, Kristjan Stanicic, said.

The virtual program has been planned to be released for a number of foreign markets, including Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Belgium, Sweden, Russia, China and the United States.
