Croatia’s producer prices in January 2022 record highest increase in a decade

Croatia's industrial producer prices increased by 17.1 percent year-on-year in January 2022, their highest 12-month increase on record since 2011, when the state statistics bureau began compiling this index.

The rise in the annual rate of producer prices continued for 11 months in a row, starting in March 2021 when the inflation rate measured by producer prices was 3.5 percent. It picked up in the following months reaching 5.8 percent in April, 7.6 percent in May, 7.2 percent in June, 7.9 percent in July, 12.1 percent in September, 16.4 percent in October, 16.6 percent in November and 16.0 percent in December.

Compared with December 2021, industrial producer prices were 1.8 percent higher than in January 2022.
