Croatia’s average salary reaches €952 in October

The average net wage earned in Croatia in October totalled 7,140 kuna (€952) which is a nominal increase of 5.7 percent and in real terms an increase of 1.8 percent compared with October 2020, the state statistics bureau reported on Monday.

In comparison with September, the average net wage in October increased by a nominal 0.5% and  0.5% lower in real terms.

According to DZS data, the median net pay in October was HRK 6,039, which means that half of the people employed earned wages below that amount and half earned wages above that amount.

The highest average net pay, HRK 10,928, was in legal entities was earned in the production and refining of oil products, while the lowest monthly wage,  HRK 4,533, was paid in the clothing industry.

The gross monthly salary of HRK 9,597 rose nominally 4.4% and in real terms up 0.6% compared to October 2020.

Compared to September that is a nominal increase of 0.5% and a decrease of 0.5% in real terms.

The average net pay in the first ten months of the year amounted to HRK 7,093, up 5.4% in nominal terms and 3.3% in real terms as against the corresponding period of 2020.

In the period from January to October 2021, the gross monthly wage amounted to HRK 9,544, up 4% nominally and 2% in real terms year-on-year.
