Croatia has launched a programme for the improvement of state property management, and these efforts are also being supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the EBRD said on Monday.

The aim of the programme is to upgrade the Croatian institutional framework and to make use of state property not exploited to a sufficient level so far.

Also, introducing a more pro-active system of state-owned real estate management is one of the goals, reads the press release.

The programme, drawn up at the proposal of Croatia’s ministry of zoning and state assets, has been financed by the EU Technical Support Instrument.

The EBRD in cooperation with the European Commission DG REFORM will provide support for its implementation.

The ministry’s state secretary Sanja Bosnjak was quoted as saying that the project was in line with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The EBRD director for Croatia, Victoria Zinchuk, was quoted as saying that the EBRD is looking forward to cooperation in this field.
