Croatia and Hungary confirmed on Wednesday that they would mutually recognise and accept certificates of vaccination against Covid-19, irrespective of the kind of the vaccine used for inoculation, Croatia's Foreign and European Affairs Ministry said on Wednesday.

Earlier on Wednesday the Croatian ministry and the Hungarian ministry of foreign affairs and trade exchanged diplomatic notes confirming the mutual acceptance and recognition of certificates confirming their holders’ vaccination against Covid-19.

Certificate holders can travel between the two countries without being obliged to self-isolate or produce negative tests.

Hungary has agreed with Croatia to mutually recognize immunity certificates allowing holders unrestricted travel between the two countries, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Facebook on Wednesday, according to the MTI news agency.

Szijjarto says that under the agreement “Hungarian nationals who have been vaccinated can travel to Croatia with no obligation to isolate or get tested.”
