Interior Minister and head of the national COVID response team, Davor Bozinovic, announced on Thursday that epidemiological measures might be relaxed as of 1 June.

“Considering that the number of new coronavirus cases has been dropping over the past few days, we are making preparations for the possible relaxation of epidemiological measures as of June 1, and to that aim a pilot project is being conducted regarding certain events,” said Bozinovic.

The first pilot project is a business lunch where people who have received both doses of a vaccine will meet today between 6 pm and 8 pm.

The second project is a wedding party with 120 guests that will be held on May 15. It too will be attended by people who have received two doses of a vaccine, have recovered from COVID in the past 180 days, or have a negative PCR or antigen test no older than 48 hours.

Ten days later these participants will take a PCR test at the Institute of Public Health and if we see that the the contagion had not spread, we’ll find a way to relax those measures for those types of events, Bozinovic told the government.
