Bosnia reports 269 new coronavirus cases, 12 fatalities

Bosnia and Herzegovina reported another 269 coronavirus infection cases and 12 fatalities among Covid-19 patients, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Sunday.

The new results came out of 1,725 lab tests performed on the samples of those who reported infection symptoms.

The Federation (FBiH) entity has so far confirmed 82,841 Covid-19 patients out of 436,978 coronavirus lab tests. The region logged 2,625 deaths among those who contracted the novel virus. The healthcare authorities confirmed that a total of 75,702 patients have recovered, and currently there are 4,514 active cases in this part of the country.

As for Republika Srpska (RS) entity, its healthcare authorities recorded a total of 42,185 infection cases and 2,209 fatalities among Covid-19 patients. So far, 33,898 patients have recovered and 469 are hospitalised at the moment. A total of 195,914 persons has been tested for coronavirus infection in this region.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit, has confirmed the total of 3,292 coronavirus infection cases, with 2,920 Covid-19 patients who have recovered. The region’s coronavirus death toll stands at 174.

Bosnia and Herzegovina currently has 10,790 active cases, according to official data.
