President Zoran Milanovic said on Monday he had submitted documents to the Conflict of Interest Commission regarding a visit to Albania and that his movements, similar to PM Andrej Plenkovic's, are handled by the Interior Ministry's special security and Croatian Army and this information was not public.

“Please, let’s not ask questions about where, when and by which means I moved, including government and army resources, as that information is not available to the public. It can only be available in legal proceedings in court pursuant to the relevant warrant, not to any commission, including on the conflict of interest, and unfortunately not to the media. A certain level of trust will have to exist there,” said Milanovic.

He claimed that his trips cannot be compared to a private trip by former president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic to the USA because diplomats had not been informed of her visit, nor the army. He travelled to Albania on a navy ship with 10 sailors, Croatia’s ambassador, military envoy and others.

“What is private there?” he questioned.
