The opposition Bridge party said on Saturday that anyone who played a part in any abuse of the security and intelligence apparatus should resign, following claims made by former presidential adviser Mate Radeljic that the Security and Intelligence Agency (SOA) was involved in his dismissal.
“This charade that is being staged by the president of the republic and the prime minister, as part of their behind-the-scenes manoeuvring with their closest associates, must stop,” Bridge said in a statement.

The party said that the prime minister, the president of the republic and the SOA chief should say who had sent a SOA operative to the former presidential adviser and for what purpose.
“They are trying to evade answers, but the very confirmation that they know that this scandal indeed happened should be reason enough for them to resign, as well as anyone who took part in any abuse of the security and intelligence apparatus,” it added.
