Industrial producer prices post increase 20th month running

In August 2018, industrial producer prices in Croatia rose by 3.6 percent year-on-year, posting an increase for the 20th month running, the state statistics bureau said on Tuesday.

Compared to July, the prices inched up slightly by 0.2 percent, with prices on the domestic market going up 0.1 percent, and those abroad by 0.3 percent. Year-on-year, industrial producer prices were 3.4 percent up in August 2018 on the domestic market, and 3.9 percent abroad.

By sector, the highest month-on-month increase was recorded in energy prices (0.5 percent), followed by durable goods (0.3 percent) and non-durable and capital goods (0.1 percent), while the prices of intermediate goods remained unchanged.

Year-on-year, the highest increase was also in energy prices (14.8 percent), followed by intermediate goods (1.8 percent), capital goods (0.6 percent) and durable goods (0.1 percent). The prices of non-durable goods decreased 0.8 percent.
