The largest travelling Lego models exhibition in the world will open in Zagreb on Saturday, August 4, at the Zagreb Fair.

The exhibition, titled “Invasion of the Giants,” spans some 2,500 square metres and includes more than 100 large models from all over Europe built solely out of Lego bricks.

The models include life-sized figures of famous people from the world of sports, pop culture, and film, as well as a host of characters from famous works of fiction.

Among the most spectacular models never before seen on display in Zagreb will be a 7-metre-long model of the Batmobile made out of 900,000 bricks, complete with a life-size statue of Batman, his cave, and parts of Gotham City. On display will also be an 11-metre detailed scale model of the famous passenger ocean liner Titanic.

Other exhibits include a sculpture of Robert Wadlow, a 272-centimetres-tall American man who died in 1940 and is thought to be the tallest man who ever lived, and more than 100 models of vehicles and characters from the Star Wars film series – with a detailed model of the Star Destroyer starship as the section’s centrepiece.

The exhibition will be open until September 30. For more information and tickets, visit the exhibition website.
