Former Croatian high jump ace Blanka Vlasic has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Memorial Van Damme athletic meet in Brussels.

The two-time world champion received recognition by one of the world’s most prominent track-and-field meetings ahead of the event’s 45th edition.

The Memorial Van Damme was previously part of the elite Golden Four and Golden Six category and now it is part of the Diamond League.

Vlasic was inducted along with the holder of the long jump world record, Mike Powell.

The Croatian athlete competed eight times and won three times at the Memorial Van Damme.
