One of he most prestigious global music publications, Britain's NME (New Musical Express), has for the second time included Zagreb's INmusic festival among the 12 most popular festivals in the world, festival organisers said on Thursday.

Croatia's biggest open-air festival was once again listed among some of the world's largest and most important music events such as California's Coachella, England's Reading and Leeds Festivals, Isle of Wight Festival, Glasgow's TRNSMT and Portugal's NOS Alive.

Established in 2006, INmusic traditionally takes place over the third weekend in June and largely presents internationally renowned performers of indie rock and electronic music.

The line-up announced for this year’s festival will be geared towards fans of guitar-based music, including artists such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains, and Talking Heads’ very own David Byrne.

The festival is held on three islands in Zagreb’s Lake Jarun, with freshwater beaches all around the festival site. A single three-day festival ticket for this year's edition will cost €53.
