Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has once again appealed to citizens to behave responsibly with regard to coronavirus, adding that otherwise the epidemic will spread at a faster rate.

"We have yet another record day with 1,563 new infections and 13 deaths, which is indication enough of the seriousness of the situation in Croatia, in the neighbouring countries, in Europe and across the world," Plenkovic said at the start of a cabinet meeting on Thursday.

He once again appealed to citizens to be responsible, alert and considerate towards people suffering from COVID-19 or other health conditions.

"We need to demonstrate the strength of our mentality and responsibility towards our dearest ones, because otherwise we will see the epidemic spreading at increasing rates," the prime minister said.
