Montengro’s tourism industry reports 86 percent drop in income

Montenegro’s Ministry of Tourism said on Wednesday that the country’s tourism industry reported an 86 percent drop in income in the first seven months of the year.

According to data from the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) the tourism industry’s income in that period was 73.2 million Euro compared to 532 million Euro in the same period a year earlier.  

The country’s statistics agency Monstat said that there were 217,000 tourists in that period or 1.1 million less than a year earlier, which is a drop of 16.5 percent.
